I had the same pain Tom. I canβt remember the name of the music shop in Perth, but I think it was on South Street and they had a black lacquer twin pickup Shaftesbury Les Paul copy in their window and I think it cost Β£98
After many months, I did eventually manage to beg, borrow and steal the money to buy it and that was the guitar that accompanied me on stage and in the back of a white Transit throughout my brief sojourn in rock βnβ roll.
I soon realised it had an action like the Forth Road Bridge and it was pretty bloody awful but having lusted after it for so long, it was hard to let it go in the end..
My baby brother is a guitar head. He will love this. I feel the same way about yarn shops, being a knitter, crocheter and general fiber freak. π Thanks Tom.
